Following Luke Perry's death, Upworthy shared an inspirational post about the late actor. In a satellite radio interview posted to YouTube by Sway’s Universe in 2013, Perry shared how his tenacity mixed with confidence helped him overcome 256 rejections and land his role on “90210.”

I just kept thinking, I just walked out of a room full of fools. Those people have no idea and you gotta keep telling yourself that because you gotta get back in the room. It's like a horse. You fall of you've gotta keep getting back on. ...

I was really starting to get quite a bit of an attitude at the end. Let’s say audition 250, I just walked in I’m going, ‘I know you’re gonna say no, just say it quickly so I can get to the next place.’

I knew everybody was going to turn me down, so I’m starting to get pissed off about it. And when I came in not expecting anything other than to be asked to leave, they sort of took notice of that and it changed the nature of the work I was doing.

I wasn't going in trying to be the guy they wanted. I said, 'Here's what I do and if you want this, you call me. If you don't want this you call somebody else. And I'm out.'

That enabled me to have the confidence to go in and it allowed me to feel like I was doing my work. I wasn't trying to serve whatever idea they thought it was and that's how I got 90210 and that's what Aaron [Spelling] responded to. I wasn't trying to do it like everyone else. I just said, ‘This is what I do — yes, no — I don’t care.’

Confidence is everything! You have to be yourself in order to succeed. Luke finally learned to understand that and made it work for him. He had an incredible career spanning decades and it's because he stayed true to himself and what he could do as an actor.

It's official. JLo and ARod made their way to the Bahamas this weekend. The former MLB player popped the question during their romantic getaway and announced it to the world with a photo of the ring and a caption that reads "She said yes." I couldn't be happier for my friend. She and ARod are incredibly in love so it makes me happy to see the two together.

JLo shared the photo of the gorgeous ring on her Instagram page, captioning it with eight heart emojis. Yup, we can feel the love, too, Jenny!

Amber Ridinger joined Glamsquad on a panel last night in support of #Thankful4Women. The women who attended got a night of networking, mentoring, and a panel featuring Cara Santana of Glamsquad, Gigi Gorgeous, Rebecca Black, Mikayla Kits, and Amy Shecter. Amber and the other women spoke about empowerment and living their dreams.

As an entrepreneur, it's important to share your know-how with the world! I couldn't be prouder of Amber. She wanted to inspire women to remind them that they can find the resources to make their businesses a reality! At the same time, she was inspired by all the women on the panel who were leaders and entrepreneurs in their own respective industries. Cara is an inspiration to us both. We feel blessed to have her as a friend.

Amber does not love public speaking, just like so many people out there but she did it! She's amazing! A true inspiration to JR and I. "I was nervous and knotted up but the girls were so inspiring and so moving and I was honored to be able to participate in something special. Greensboro's New & Record reported on the heartwarming story this week. Harrison recently lost his previous service dog, Elliot and found himself retreating from the world. He knew it was time for a new service dog to help him with his anxiety.

According to the article, "Harrison credits maCares with helping him to have a service dog. The Greensboro-based nonprofit supports community causes, including a service dog support program to help the financial burden of caring for a service dog.

'We help them with the care of the dogs, such as food and veterinary bills, so they don’t have to worry about taking care of their buddy,' said maCares president Brandi Quinn." Brandi went on "We give them a sense of family. We give them a purpose,” she said. “We get them out and into the community.”

Today, at 3:00 est, Jenny released her new song "Medicine" ft. French Montana on Beats1 with Ebro Darden. It's definitely a banger and a hit song. I've been listening to it since and it's already added to all of my favorite playlists. That's my girl!

Did you listen to JLo's newest hit? She talked to Darden for an hour and gave some hints about her movie "Hustlers" which she's currently filming in the Bronx. She announced that the film is a fictional story based on true events about four women who switch the script on the men who exploit them.

Darden brought up Jenny's work ethic. "There's so much hard work that gets you into having luck. What you do creates that (luck) and creates opportunities." So true! It's a boy! Congrats to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their royal baby! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed their firstborn son— the first interracial baby in the British monarchy’s recent history.

Meghan Markle Gives Birth to Royal Baby!

Buckingham Palace said in a statement that Meghan gave birth at 5:26 a.m. which was hours before the palace announced that she was in labor and that her mother, Doria Ragland, was with the new parents. The newborn boy weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces, the royal couple wrote on Instagram; a name had not been chosen yet.

The newborn will be 7th in line to the British throne.  It is not clear whether the child will receive a royal title like Harry's older brother, William, and wife Catherine gave to their children.

The single was first released in April as a collaboration with French Montana, completing a trilogy of hits that started with "Same Girl" and continued with "I Luh Ya Papi," which JLo filmed the music video at our Miami home! Check it out below.

The "Medicine" Remix, on the other hand, was filmed in a steamy studio where JLo is backlit with fun lights. The video features strippers and JLo in a tank top and thong bikini. Needless to say, it's probably the hottest video out there right now!

"It’s a very sassy song, very kind of woman empowerment," Lopez said in a behind-the-scenes clip. "[It’s] kind of giving you taste of what you give out, letting guys know that we’re not going to take any junk."

This weekend has been a whirlwind. With the DJ Khaled collaboration, JR and I have been pretty busy! To add to it the 14th annual World Superyacht Awards was held this weekend and the Utopia IV was nominated and won in the category of Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts 40m and Above. Exciting stuff! JR and I were so excited. We worked with Rossinavi to bring our dream yacht to fruition and we're truly enjoying the fruits of our labor!

Utopia IV Featured in Haute Time

Now the Utopia IV and our major award are being featured in Haute Time! So exciting! The article goes over the boat and everything involved in winning the World Superyacht Awards.

"Coming in at 63 meters—almost 207 feet—Utopia IV was the fastest yacht in its class, with 7,756kW being delivered via four MTUs to four Kamewa water jets, and a top speed of 33-knots. Though this and other elements of its power, such as the four light Rolls-Royce engines and four hydro jets, are incredibly impressive, these were not the only determining factors in Utopia IV’s victory."

Changes are coming to the Apple Watch- Probably the biggest news at yesterday's event is that Apple has major plans for the Apple Watch. Expect new faces and native apps such as voice memos and a calculator with tips along with apps that operate independently from the iPhone

iOS13 is getting an overhaul- Apple's newest update has exciting new features like HomeKit Secure Video, new sharing controls in Messager, updates to to-do lists and improvements to Safari and Notes. Apple's iOS will also provide more picture editing in video as well as photo features.

New Health app- Health App has been redesigned with a new summary view with data and highlights, charts over time and machine learning to determine what's interesting to you.

Forbes and Serena announced the news via social media. Here's what Serena had to say on making history: "Be the brand. Starting @Serena and @Serena.Ventures are just a few steps. Honored to be the first athlete on @Forbes #SelfMadeWomen list."

“I want to be a part of it,” she told Forbes. “I want to be in the infrastructure. I want to be the brand, instead of just being the face.” Serena has been "really leaning" on her husband, Alexis Ohanian, for support and mentorship, a fitting mentor since he's the co-founder of Reddit. Forbes predicts Ohanian is worth $70 million.

We're right in the thick of it. The Women's World Cup 2019 is in full swing and it seems like everyone is talking about it. During a time where campaigns like Me Too, and Times Up are constantly in headlines, women's sports seems to be a topic of conversation we're all turning to. If you're not sure whether to watch the action during this year's Women's World Cup, I'll convince you otherwise. Women's sports are just as exhilarating as men's and there are a few reasons why! Read on to find out why we should all be glued to the Women's World Cup.

Strong Contenders- The US may be the favorite to win the title again this year but there are plenty of other teams strong enough to take the crown. Two-time champions Germany are strong contenders once again while France, being the host country, could become world champions on home soil. Other major countries to keep an eye on include  Japan, England, and Brazil.

The Prize has Doubled- After winning in 2015, the USA team received $2 million—nowhere near the $35 million won by the men's champions. The prize money for 2019 has doubled, with FIFA announcing that the winners will bank $4 million and that the overall prize fund has been raised from $15 million in 2015 to $30 million. 

The Venues- The tournament will take place across nine host cities: Grenoble, Le Havre, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes, and Valenciennes. The first match was played in Parc des Princes in Paris on 7 June, while the semifinals and final will be played in Lyon, home of the French women's champions and Champions League winners Olympique Lyonnais, on 2, 3 and 7 July. So exciting!

The decade is almost over. Can you believe it? The 2010s flew by in a blur, but there were some key players who defined the decade. In my book, there were ten women who changed the game. Read on for more!

10 Women Who Defined the Decade

JLo- JLo went from having a quiet career to showing the world that it's truly her party. From churning out hit after hit with the likes of Pitbull and Mulma to staring in Hustlers and getting Oscars buzz. This has been JLo's decade. Congrats Jlo!

Kim Kardashian- People knew who Kim Kardashian was through her affiliation with Paris Hilton. She was just that girl on that reality TV show who turned the camera on herself. Now, five kids later and more than one successful business under her belt, she's known as so much more. So proud of you, Kim!

Amber Ridinger- Amber started Lumiere de Vie at the start of the decade; now, as a mom of three, she's proving that life as a mompreneur is all about work-life balance—especially when the life part means being featured in Vogue Taiwan.

Cara Santana- Our close family friend Cara Santana started the decade as a working actress. Now, with a recurring role on Starz network with Vida and her uber-successful Glam Squad app, we couldn't be prouder of our entrepreneurial-minded friend.

Eva Longoria- Desperate Housewives ended in 2012, and Eva Longoria's career has been on the up and up. As an actress, producer, director, activist, philanthropist, designer, and now mother, she's changed the game in Hollywood, paving the way for other women, especially Latinas. She leveraged her fame and position to give rise to other women—she's the definition of love and strength in an industry void of it!

Serena Williams- Serena changed the decade beyond tennis. My incredible friend showed the world what a strong woman and mother looks like by showing people the grit and strength that comes with being a woman. She speaks her mind, all while dominating the court, and people take notice.

La La Anthony- La La started the decade with me when we launched Motives® for La La. Since becoming an entrepreneur with Market America, she's moved on to starting her own businesses and clothing lines, all while showing off her acting chops on Power.

Hrush Achemyan- Hrush is one of the world's biggest beauty gurus. As the makeup artist to stars like Khloe Kardashian, she's made a name for herself as well as a successful business.

Alicia Keys- Aside from churning out hits, Alicia Keys became a spiritual and feminist icon this decade, by starting her makeup-free revolution, hosting the Grammys, and being honest and real on her social media channels. Love your energy, Alicia!

Australia has been experiencing its worst bushfires on record, with 15.6 million acres of the continent being burnt since September. The devastating Australian fires have killed at least 25 people and destroyed almost 2,000 homes while the loss of land and biodiversity is harder to fathom with the estimated death of one billion animals and permanent damage to the sensitive ecosystem. Reports state that the fires will continue even into later this week as hot and windy conditions persist. Below is everything you need to know about the Australia fires.

Here's What You Need to Know About the Australian Fires

The fires broke out during a record-breaking heatwave. The fires are affecting the southeast states like  New South Wales and Victoria. The southeast is the most severely affected but they've hit every state this season. This is Australia's hottest and dryest summer on record and much of the heat was accompanied by wind which is assumed to have amplified the fires.

Millions of plants and animals are in danger. Before the fires, its great diversity of life was already threatened due to invasive species, habitat destruction, and climate change. Now, ecologists are fearing severe ecological consequences from so much land being burnt at once. This is a crisis for biodiversity in Australia, which is home to some of Earth’s most distinctive animals, like marsupials.

You can help the Australian Fires

Australia needs us and there are ways that you can help!

• If you’re in Australia, Givit has a list of specific items needed by people and organizations affected by the bushfires.
• People with emergency response training can sign up to volunteer in Queensland.
• The World Wildlife Fund is collecting donations to restore habitats for koalas impacted by the fires.
• You can donate to the Australian Red Cross’s fire recovery and relief fund.
• You can also donate directly to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, the Country Fire Service Foundation in South Australia, and the Country Fire Authority in Victoria.

Sad news coming out of the sports world today. Kobe Bryant, former NBA died in a helicopter crash in California, news outlets report.

Five people were on board when the helicopter went down near Calabasas this morning.

Bryant’s wife Vanessa was reportedly not on the helicopter, according to TMZ. It’s not known who else was aboard the helicopter during the flight, or where it was headed.

Bryant played his entire 20-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was drafted into the NBA straight out of high school at the age of 17.

He retired in 2016 a five-time NBA champion, two-time NBA Finals MVP and the all-time leading scorer in Lakers franchise history.

Bryant was selected to an NBA record 18 consecutive NBA All-Star Games. He also won two gold medals while representing the USA in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.

No one but Alicia Keys could have taken on hosting last night's 2020 Grammy Awards. It was a somber mood after the news broke of the loss of hero, friend, and legend, Kobe Bryant, and his daughter. Many in the room weren't ready to take on a celebratory air but Alicia kicked off the show with love and compassion, making it okay to celebrate music for the night. “I know how much Kobe loved music,” she said. “We gotta make this a celebration in his honor. He would want us to keep the vibrations high.”

All the Top Moments from the 2020 Grammy Awards

Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas were the big winners of the night, walking away with nine Grammys between the two of them. She's the youngest Grammy winner to win Album of the Year making Grammys history. Congrats to Billie! Other big winners included Lizzo, who was nominated for a whopping eight Grammys, and walked away with three and my friend DJ Khalid who won for Best Rap/Sung Performance.

The best performance of the night goes to Alicia Keys. As the host, she rocked the mic a total of three times, giving us an Acappella tribute to Kobe Bryant, an improvised version of Lewis Capaldi's "Someone You Love," on the piano, and a performance of her new song Underdog. One of my other favorite performances came from Latin music phenom, Rosalia. The girl can sing and dance flamenco—all while wearing sneakers.

The red carpet was also full of show stopping gowns and dresses from the likes of Lizzo and Ariana Grande.

I am beyond saddened to read about the abuse Prince Harry and Meghan are suffering all over the press recently. We're in 2020 now! Any form of racism or bullying online or offline is simply completely unacceptable.

The Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked a beautiful moment in history. It saddens me that the press believes it is acceptable to hound Markle the way they did Prince Harry's mother, Princess Diana. This is a beautiful young couple in love, trying to live a normal life. I send them all of the love, blessings, and happiness. I truly hope they rise above the unacceptable behaviors towards them and continue to live a life full of love and joy with their beautiful child.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Canada House yesterday, the home of Canada’s High Commission in London. Together they met The High Commissioner and other members of her team to talk about the partnership between the UK and Canada. The Super Bowl is tomorrow and Miami is already full of tourists ready to take on the big game! Are you in the Magic City? Where to Watch the Big Game in Miami Tomorrow

The Kansas City Chiefs beat out the 49ers tonight at the Super Bowl. It's the most-watched night on television and I was glued to my TV, although, not for football. I was waiting for JLo and Shakira to perform during the halftime show. Did you see my girl kill it? If not, read on for a recap of tonight's halftime show.

Shakira kicked things off with a "Hola Miami," showing the Super Bowl that the Latinas were taking charge. She began her set with "She Wolf"—one of my favorite songs and moved through several of her hits. At one point, she was even joined on stage with Bad Bunny. They sang a mashup of two of his major songs "I Like It Like That" and "Calladita." Shakira changed up her hit song "Chantaje" to give it a Cuban salsa flair with trumpet players backing her on stage—this is Miami, after all. Her hips did not lie throughout her set showing her skills as a performer and artist.

Finally, my girl JLo rocked the stage. She went through all her older hit songs including "Jenny from the Block" and "Get Right" —backed by a slew of dancers, it made for one of the biggest moments of the night. After, she used some of her "Hustlers" skills to perform some major moves on a dance pole. J Balvin joined JLo on stage at one point to sing a rendition of "Mi Gente." My favorite part of the night was when Emme made an appearance to sing a slower version of "Let's Get Loud" with an all-girl choir backing her.

Shakira and JLo finished the show with the 2010 Fifa World Cup song Waka Waka. It was a moment to remember as the two Latinas closed the show. Check out the full performance below. You don't want to miss it.

I was especially impressed by the commercial line-up this year. Plenty of funny moments and celebrities to keep you entertained. It's one of the biggest nights for ads so read on for some of the best commercials the Super Bowl had to offer.

Top Commercials During the 2020 Super Bowl

Sam Elliot and Lil Nas X battle through "Old Town Road" in an old fashion standoff with a twist. The two make for quite the match in a dance battle for the Doritos® Cool Ranch commercial—complete with dancing mustache. Stick to the end for a cameo from Billy Ray Cyrus.

According to this Rocket Mortgage commercial, Jason Momoa is actually skinny and balding when he's in the comfort of his own home. Check it out below.

P&G brought together big names from their different brands to celebrate P&G products. The commercial features, Sofia Vergara, Busy Phillips, Mr. Clean and more!

Some of Boston's biggest celebrities came together to celebrate Hyundai Sonata's Smart Park or "Smaht Pahk." Chris Evans, John Krasinski, Rachel Dratch, and David “Big Papi” Ortiz react to the car's newest feature in true Boston form.

Facebook Groups came in strong with their own commercial featuring some of the most unique groups the site has to offer from the "Craft Cocktail Club" to the "Rocky Balboa Going the Distance Group." Watch below for a surprise from Rocky himself.

This time last year everything was so different! We were celebrating our recent collaboration with DJ Khaled and Utopia IV had a big win at the 14th Annual World Superyacht Awards in the category “Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts 40m and Above.” We truly have created so many incredible memories on the yacht with our friends and family.

I was recently reading the Haute Times feature from last year and started to feel so nostalgic. For those new to Loren’s World, here’s a snippet from the article:

Longtime creative director of Chanel and Fendi, Karl Lagerfeld passed away today. As one of the most prolific designers to date, his signature white ponytail and dark sunglasses made him one of the most recognizable figures in fashion.

As a fashion designer, he transformed Chanel into the iconic fashion house it is now. "When I took over, nobody talked about [Coco Chanel]," he said to The Cut this past December. "I reinvented the references, but that’s a good thing, no? Everybody said to me, 'Don’t touch it. It’s dead,' because 35 years ago, old labels were old labels. Now everybody wants to revive a label, and some of them, I don’t think it’s a good idea. But this was before Tom Ford and Gucci."

Many friends and industry insider have taken to social media to remember the late, great designer.

On a personal note, owning a Chanel piece had been a dream for me for a long time. Each Chanel piece that I have in my collection is because of Karl and what he did with the brand. He brought so much beauty into the world with his incredible talent and mind. Thank you for sharing your talents with us, Karl. It's with a heavy heart that I write this post.
